Move for Mental Health

We have been celebrating Mental Health Week here at NLA, focusing on the theme of ‘move more for your mental health’.

Throughout the week students have completed a form session on the power of movement for mental health. There has been a physical activity minutes house competition, where students logged the number of physical activity minutes that they completed, such as walking to school, going out on their bike, helping with cleaning around the house as well as PE lessons and sports activities. On Tuesday we held a football festival, with 80 students turning up to play football. On Wednesday we had a bake sale raising money for the Mental Health foundation and on Thursday we held Just Dance Glow that involved students dancing their hearts out with the added bonus of glow sticks. Finally, we have been busy conducting staff and student wellbeing surveys to see how we can further support the mental health and wellbeing of everyone at the NLA.
