Beverston Work Experience

During the summer, Pawel, one of our talented Year 13 students, had the exciting opportunity to spend a week gaining hands-on work experience with our valued partner Beverston Engineering in Knowsley

Pawel said: “At Beverston Engineering I was placed around various places within the process including manufacturing, packing, quality assurance, material management and office/ manufacturing preparation. I learned how the whole manufacturing process goes from start to finish, including how material is cut and prepared, how CNC machines are set up and adjusted to ensure accuracy, and how manufacturing drawings are prepared for the machinists on the floor. Knowing how the process works and how accuracy is ensured in these high-precision manufacturing processes has helped me to prepare for future jobs with an understanding of how the whole process works and how everyone's role in a process links into other's jobs. It has helped me to consider more jobs in the process as I have seen how interesting each one can be.”
