MTC work experience

In the concluding week of the summer term, four of our current Year 13 students Mateo, Alex, Ben and Tamino, participated in four days of work experience at MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre).

Mateo explained that "The work experience placement at MTC consisted of working as a team to design a STEM day which is focused on showing students different pathways of engineering, while doing this we implemented the project planning methods that the employees at MTC use to plan and carry out their projects and were taught what documentation is required by them before they can commence. The experience essentially allowed us to have an insight into how a real workplace carries out their projects and showed us how we can use it on our own projects in the future”
