We were the only school represented at this prestigious event and had a stand showcasing projects and outreach from Liverpool Life Sciences UTC and The Studio School on the Hitachi/IRIS/RMS scanning electron microscope.

The students who attended have previously worked on SEM projects and represented the many students across both schools who have enjoyed this privilege. Students enjoyed looking at posters from researchers around the world and visiting exhibitor stands demonstrating the very latest in electron microscopy, fluorescence microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.

Students and staff met up with Liverpool University and The Royal Microscopical Society and touched base with staff on the Hitachi stand. The students began to network and form relationships with academics and microscopy professionals, building networks to support their learning and future careers.
