Holly didn't know she wanted to be a vet when she started at the UTC. She came in simply because she liked science: "I just came in knowing I like science, so I'll come to this school."

That changed in Year 10 when a teacher offered her a unique chance: "Doctor Dyer came over to me and said, "I've got a student who's doing an EPQ in veterinary science, do you want to come to Edinburgh on a trip to visit vets?'" That moment started her path to vet school.

Holly also recently landed a job with Aramark, thanks to our Careers Lead. She was looking for work, and a teacher stepped in: "I speak to Mike a lot about career options, he came to me and said - do you want to have a look at this?"

She quickly moved up to a premium VIP role, which included serving at a big event in the new Everton Stadium. This professional work has really built her confidence. She even said it helped her secure her next big adventure: "I've just done my Camp America interview, so I'm really excited for that." Holly will be heading to the US right after her A-levels finish.
