Batting first, Gateacre put on a fantastic performance to tot up a solid total of 70 runs, with Salman leading the scoreboard by claiming an impressive 15 runs.
When it was our turn to field, Ethan, Fin, Salman, and Enosh showed great teamwork by rotating the bowling duties to keep the pressure on. Salman had an absolute blinder, taking a sensational 5 wickets, while Ethan pulled off a brilliant catch of the match.
It went right down to the wire, with West Derby narrowly hitting the winning runs in the 14th over. It was a superb, hard fought effort from the lads for their first outing - well done, team!
