Music Department trip to Beyond the Console

Last week, around 30 GCSE and A level Music students visited the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall to watch a concert of video game music given by the brilliant Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

The concert was superb, with dramatic music and a visual backdrop of the games. It was the first time at an orchestral concert for some of our students, and it was great to hear students commenting on how much they had enjoyed the performance.

At the end of the concert, we were even stopped by a gentleman who was so impressed with our students’ attitude and behaviour that he wanted to know which school we were from.

So, hats off to the RLPO for a great night’s entertainment, and well done to our Music students who have again shown the school in a such a positive light. We can’t wait for the next trip now!
