On Wednesday 14th January, members of Gateacre’s orchestra from Year 7 up to Year 10 participated in an orchestral day provided by Resonate, Liverpool’s Music hub.

The day consisted of full and sectional rehearsals of two orchestral pieces, followed by a public concert at the Cornerstone Theatre, Liverpool Hope University.

The day was a great success. Our students loved performing in a massed orchestra with students from schools across the city, and the musical standard they reached after only a day of rehearsals was most impressive.
