The event focused on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and encouraged students to think about how we can make a positive impact within our schools and local communities.
Throughout the day, students participated in a range of interactive workshops and group discussions, exploring global issues such as climate action, quality education, and reducing inequalities.
One of our Year 8 Scholars, Elizabeth, shared her thoughts on the experience:
“The UN Day was a really great experience for everybody. We got to learn about the sustainability goals, and how LFC tries to include them in all the things they do. Then, once we’d learnt about the goals, we had to create a business pitch about a way to improve the issue that the goal was about.”
The event was a fantastic opportunity for our Scholars to develop their teamwork, creativity, and awareness of global challenges all while discovering ways they can make a difference both locally and globally.
