National Careers Week

National Careers Week is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK, which usually takes place in the first week of March each year.

The aim is to highlight the importance of effective careers guidance and provide support for young people leaving education.

At Gateacre last week, students in year 9 and parents were invited to attend school to talk to staff and find out about the range of options that students can  choose for their options. Our Careers Advisor, Leanne Morrey, from Career Connect  was available to offer impartial and independent careers advice throughout the evening. There was a great turn out, with students really taking the time to find out about different courses and career pathways. This formed part of their ongoing careers work looking at different pathways and career choices.
