Carnegies Shadowing Scheme

Last week, our students engaged in the Yoto Carnegies Shadowing Scheme, a programme designed to immerse them in the esteemed Carnegie Medals judging process.

As participants, our students assumed the role of 'shadower’s,' exploring a diverse selection of literature. Through this experience, our students have been able to analyse text, engage in rich discussions and ultimately make progress is coming to a mutual agreement on a winner. The set of judges will compare the Shadower’s ‘winning book’ to their choice which will be announced on 20th June alongside the Yoto Carnegie Medals for Writing and Illustration.
