With over 400 entries submitted from across the trust and every school taking part, the event showcased the very best of our young scientists. From this impressive pool, 30 finalists, aged just 4 to 14, presented their ideas with confidence, passion, and remarkable scientific understanding. Our judging panel included representatives from schools across the trust as well as experts from STEM industries, all eager to hear about the imaginative and forward‑thinking projects on display. It was truly inspiring to watch students of all ages articulate not only the science behind their inventions, but also the motivations driving them, whether solving problems for classmates or finding ways to protect the environment. Every finalist showed up and showed off their scientific skills with pride. It was a genuine showcase event for the trust, highlighting the talent, curiosity, and compassion of our young learners. All entries will now be submitted into the Business of Science competition in May, giving students a second chance to shine.
A huge well done to every student who took part. The future of science looks bright! A huge thank you to Sarah Linkman and Heather Murphy for organising such a special event.
