Students started with a session on being healthy, which included nutrition, the links between physical activity and feeling better, and a session on ‘wellbeing’, mental health and self-care.
After lunch, students were given a tour of the impressive university site and the health science facilities, which included mock-up hospital wards, operations rooms, and elderly accommodation.
In the afternoon, the students learnt about limiting screen time and the benefits of sleep, in supporting focus, concentration and positive thinking. It was a insightful day for our students.
