Despite the heat there were some seriously impressive feats of athleticism on display, with track events in the 200, 300 and 800m, alongside field events of the Shot Put and Long Jump.
There was close competition throughout the morning for the two shields on offer to the winning schools; but there could only be two winners.
For the KS3 trophy North Liverpool Academy won with students from years 7 to 10 taking part, and winning a total of 18 medals. Gateacre School were a close second. In the KS4 event Gateacre came back strongly, with North Liverpool Academy taking second place and Liverpool Life Sciences/The Studio School in third place.
A huge congratulations to all students who took part and their teachers who helped to put on another memorable event in the NST calendar.
