NLA's Maidah is Wicked!

NLA's very own Maidah from Year 7 won the competition to design the bbfc display card for the new film Wicked. It will be shown at the beginning of every showing of the film in the UK.

She was chosen as the first-place winner for the UK and the cast stars, including Jeff Goldblum, announced this on Instagram.

bbfc put a video up "as our Create the Card Competition winner, Maidah, takes in the magic at the European premiere of Wicked: For Good in London’s Leicester Square!" https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRUU4ZOAYCv/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

And this is Maidah's reaction when she discovered she was the winner of the BBFC’s Create the Card Competition by none other than Wicked: For Good’s Director Jon M. Chu  .https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRMjm4Qj9gi/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

Maidah was also on BBC Radio Merseyside with her teacher Miss Miller, who is very proud and says that it is well-deserved as Maidah attends Art Club after school and works very hard to improve her natural talent.

Maidah said that it has been very exciting and that her friends have cheered her on. She has used a lot of different materials such as paint and pastels to create the effect and she is very grateful for the support of her teacher.

Amazing!  Congratulations Maidah.
