NLA students visited the Life Sciences UTC last week for a session using the scanning electron micrograph, learning to move samples, focus and adjust brightness, and how to capture their images.

The Sixth Form students thoroughly enjoyed the scanning electron micrograph and dissecting microscope session provided by Dr. Mitchell which proved to be invaluable to them.

The microscope is provided as a loan scheme supported by Hitachi, The Natural History Museum and The Royal Microscopical Society.
