One of our Life Science students highlighted, “There are certain steps to follow to make it easier to treat patients in A&E, from A all the way to E.”

A- check the airways

B- Observe the breathing, listen to any wheezing

C- circulation

D- disability

E- examination overall

Joe also did some work with aspiring healthcare professionals from our BTEC Applied Science group. One student commented as they left that they had learnt so much about working with patients in a clinical setting. The realistic SimMan scenarios enable our students to handle the situation professionally and respectfully.
