Liverpool Life Sciences UTC News |
As part of the visit we were lucky to receive presentations from a former student (Joe Armbruster) and industry experts Daniel Youd and Murray Adams. This was the celebration of those that took part in the Concept Cars Competition, which tasked students across the UTC network to use Fusion 360 to design and create 3D models of the cars of their dreams. Adam Mohamed was the winner of the 6th form category and second overall winner. The judges included Murray Adams (Senior Design Engineer at BAC), Paul Jones (Chief Executive of The Northern Automotive Alliance), Steve Cox (3D Technologies Consultant at Amfori Consulting) and Nathan Rogers (Technical Manager at Autodesk), who chose Eve Somerville from Berkeley Green UTC as the overall winner with her innovative flying car design, so massive well done to her! Thank you to everyone involved, to Iwan Roberts and Paul Jones for the visit, and everyone at BAC for the tour.
