Year 11 Leavers Assembly

Last week we had our final Year 11 assembly to reflect on their journey over the past 2/3 years.

As students near the final exam it was a timely reflection on what has led them to this moment with all of the hard work and dedication.

We also spoke about the road ahead: Sixth Form, College, Apprenticeships, Employment and Careers, along with thoughts about taking opportunities that present themselves.

Final thoughts include:

  • Be brave and positive
  • Get outside of your comfort zone
  • Don’t be afraid to fail
  • Don’t stop learning
  • Know yourself and stay in touch with who you are
  • Learn from your mistakes and persevere
  • Look for the future; but take time to get things right
  • Keep a sense of perspective

“Our greatest regrets in life tend not to be the things we did wrong or failed to achieve; but rather the missed opportunities or things we didn’t do that we wish we had.” Anoir Ou-chad
