Students gained invaluable insights into the world of gaming and technology.
Guest speakers Ste and Ian from Sony delivered an engaging presentation, sharing their personal career journeys and offering students a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s leading entertainment companies. They explored the wide range of roles available within Sony’s Liverpool team, highlighting how local talent directly contributes to a global industry.
Exploring Pathways and Opportunities:
Students learned about the various entry points into Sony, including competitive apprenticeship opportunities and the specific application
processes. The session proved to be a real eye-opener, shifting focus toward the immense creativity, innovation, and teamwork required to bring games from concept to console.
The visit has already had a positive impact, with several students now actively exploring future careers within the digital and gaming sectors.
Student Voice: "It was really inspiring to know that something like this is so local to us," reflected Year 12 student Ethan. "It makes me feel that a career like this is something I can genuinely achieve."
We would like to extend our thanks to Ste and Ian for sharing their time, expertise, and enthusiasm with our students, helping to inspire the next generation of digital professionals.
